When is the new GTA VI? We've waited so many years, we'll wait some more

This was a dementi to rumours that the production cycle for a game of one of the most important works in the history of computer games might be delayed due to the high-profile actors' strike taking place in the US. This did not happen, however, and everything is under control, Zelnick announced. However, a short while later, another chilling piece of news circulated the world - GTA VI will not see the light of day in 2025, and we will be waiting a very long time for the PC version.

When will the new GTA be released? Insiders release conflicting information

A sensational rumour has emerged on the 'X' platform, and its author is an insider of the www.gtabase.com website popular among GTA fans. As he reports (source of the statement: ithardware.co.uk), "the producers are scoring a big slip, which will certainly force a postponement of the release date."

In the words of a certain Liam: "Rockstar Games has internally delayed the release of GTA VI, the company has already decided on a release date for early or mid-2026. The PC version is scheduled for release 12-18 months after the console release."

This information comes from a number of developers from two studios.

If these revelations are confirmed, it will be another blow straight to the heart of fans who have been waiting more than a decade for a new installment of Grand Theft Auto. Of course, it must be remembered that these are still unconfirmed rumours to which both the developer and producers have not commented. So when will the new GTA 6 hit the hands of users?

Well, the creator of the whole commotion admitted that if he had been tricked by the source, he was very sorry, but he would not let the world know what he was not sure about. Nonetheless, the web was in an uproar, which prompted a number of specialists to comment. Tom Henderson, therefore a journalist at Insider Gaming, believes "that there is no delay".

Industry insider Jason Schreier, on the other hand, contacted Rockstar Games staff, who told him that there is no question of any slippage. So all signs in the sky indicate that the initial release date is not in jeopardy.

GTA VI - what will it be about? The location of the action?

Of course, information about the game is still residual all the time. The developers don't reveal much information, are very reserved and leave a huge amount of room for conjecture. Apparently, the action is to be set in the well-known Vice City, but the plot will not take place in the 1980s, but in the present day. Leaks suggest that we will get as many as four playable characters. The game's map is said to be huge, much larger than its predecessor, and its size is expected to increase with the story mode.

There will be plenty of Grand Theft Auto action, including crime, thrilling races, shoot-outs, bank robberies and gang warfare. There will probably also be a new version of GTA online when new DLC? It is hard to say at the moment, but it can be expected that expansions to the game will also see the light of day over time.
