Guide til invitationsturneringer midt i sæsonen 2025: Tidsplan, datoer, format

The Mid-Season Invitational 2025 has completed its Play-In Stage, which determined all the participants for the Bracket Stage. Out of 10 teams, only 8 advanced from the Play-In Stage to the Bracket Stage. In this article, we’ll take a detailed look at the Bracket Stage dates, format, tournament bracket, and of course, the teams that will battle for the MSI 2025 trophy.
Mid-Season Invitational 2025 Bracket Stage Dates and Format
The MSI 2025 Bracket Stage will run from July 2 to July 13. Each day, we’ll get to watch one match featuring the strongest teams from around the world.
The Bracket Stage will follow a Double Elimination format, giving every team two chances to make it to the tournament final. After a loss, a team drops to the lower bracket, where another loss means elimination. All matches will be played in a Best of 5 format using the now-familiar Fearless Draft system.
In my opinion, Fearless Draft has clearly had a positive impact on the professional scene. It encourages teams to develop new strategies, bring forgotten champions back into the meta, and move away from predictable drafts. This leads to more diverse champion selections and greater strategic depth in matches.
For viewers, this format makes the tournament far more engaging: it adds variety and reduces repetition, turning every match into something truly fresh and dynamic.
Mid-Season Invitational 2025 Bracket Stage Schedule

All 8 teams will start in Upper Bracket Round 1, and at the moment we have the following tournament bracket:
- Gen.G Esports vs G2 Esports (July 2 - 03:00 EEST)
- Anyone's Legend vs FlyQuest (July 3 - 03:00 EEST)
- CTBC Flying Oyster vs T1 (July 4 - 03:00 EEST)
- KOI vs Bilibili Gaming (July 3 - 22:00 EEST)
Some teams, if they win, will advance to Upper Bracket Round 2, while the other half will drop to Lower Bracket Round 1, where they’ll have only one chance to stay in the tournament.

This year, Riot is running the MSI 2025 Pick’ems. I’m curious—how’s it going for you? Did you manage to predict who would advance to the next stage?
Mid-Season Invitational 2025 Prize Pool
The Mid-Season Invitational 2025 is one of the most important tournaments of the year, and its prize pool highlights just how significant this event is.
The total prize pool for the Mid-Season Invitational stands at $2,000,000.
- 1st place - $500,000
- 2nd place - $300,000
- 3rd place - $240,000
- 4th place - $200,000
- 5th–6th place - $160,000
- 7th–8th place - $130,000
- 9th place - $100,000
- 10th place - $80,000
While such a substantial prize pool is certainly a big incentive, League of Legends, its professional players, and tournament organizers have shown time and again that the money isn’t the main objective. The true prize of this tournament is the direct qualification for the 2025 World Championship.
What to Expect from the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 Bracket Stage?

Looking at the tournament bracket, I personally don’t see completely one-sided games everywhere. The gap in skill level is just too big. So I think we'll see the LCK and LPL representatives face off in Upper Bracket Round 2, while teams from other regions will have to fight for survival in Lower Bracket Round 1. But who knows—maybe we’re in for an upset, so I’m really looking forward to the start of the Bracket Stage.
To better understand the strength of the teams in this tournament, I recommend checking out the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 Power Rankings. In that blog, we’ve gathered detailed information about every team participating in MSI 2025.
This year, we’re in for more intense matches than ever before. The League of Legends esports team has done an excellent job introducing Fearless Draft, which makes every game truly unique and exciting. The number of ideas and strategies that come up even during the pick and ban phase gives teams the chance to showcase themselves in new ways and lets us see the game from a completely fresh perspective.
