FURIA slår ud af Outsiders s IEM Cologne 2022

The Outsiders team lost to FURIA with a score of 0:2 and left IEM Cologne 2022, finishing 13th-16th and earning $10,000. In turn, the Brazilian team will continue their performances within the lower bracket of group B, where they will play with the loser of the match Team Spirit — FaZe Clan.

The quarter-final of the lower bracket of group B started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of the Russian team. At the same time, the beginning was left for the Outsiders, who showed several confident rounds and, as it seemed, seized the initiative. However, the Brazilians managed to get back into the game in order to close the gap, and then get a minimal advantage before switching sides. In the second half, the teams again exchanged short segments, according to the results of which FURIA turned out to be a little more successful, and at the same time took the lead in the series - 16:13.

Next, the teams moved to the Vertigo map, which became the choice of FURIA. And again, the first half was held in an equal fight, albeit with a minimal advantage in favor of the Brazilian team. However, after the change of sides, the Outsiders failed to wake up, allowing FURIA to quickly roll forward, and then get a confident victory at all — 16:8. As a result, the Outsiders lose the second match in the group stage and leave IEM Cologne 2022.

IEM Cologne 2022 takes place from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Hyatt Regency Cologne and LANXESS arena venues. As part of the championship, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Oceania, China, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points in the BLAST Premier table.
