WESG Americas Finals will be hosted online
Organizers of WESG 2017 have announced that the regional final of the American qualification will be carried out online.
Such decision was made due to the reason that some participants of WESG 2017 Americas Finals had not been able to receive the USA visa to visit the LAN event that had to take place in Santa Ana.

The date of the regional final remained the same. WESG Americas Finals will be run on February 1-4. Representatives of two subregions: North America and South America will compete in it.
In the male division, seven representatives of North America will fight for 5 invitations to the LAN final, while in South America, five teams will struggle for two slots in the LAN final. There will be five female teams among the representatives of North America and three female teams will be among participants from South America.
