We continue to watch what is happening at BLAST Rivals Season 1. We are talking about the group stage, which is being held in the GSL format.
More specifically, we are talking about Group B, where we will be watching the central match of the first round. The Falcons vs. FaZe match.
We are trying to figure out which of the FaZe – Falcons pair will be stronger and earn the first victory in the group stage of BLASTY Rivals Season 1.

Falcons uniform
We open the analysis of the Falcons – FaZe match with an analysis of the Falcons' game form. In this match, they play number one with a win coefficient of around 1.4.
The Falcons spent the entire 2023 year, as they say, in search of themselves. They started the professional season by performing at B-tier tournaments: Thunderpick Bitcoin Series #2, OMEN WRG Challenge 2023 and CCT West Europe Series #1. They celebrated TOP-2 at the first two, and TOP-8 at the more prestigious CCT.
Later they tried to get to the Parisian major. They had two attempts, at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR A and BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR B. Both were unsuccessful: TOP-11 and TOP-6.
The Falcons continued to bang their heads against the wall midway through the year. Top 13 at ESL Challenge League Season 45: Europe, Top 10 at ESL Championnat National Spring 2023, and Top 24 at Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #1.
They tried to get to IEM Sydney 2023, but dropped out of the open qualifiers at the TOP-64 stage. As a Saudi club, they got a slot at Gamers8 2023, where they played to the best of their ability, and that was the TOP-16.

At the end of the year, Falcons tried to cobble together DreamTeam. So far, it's not going so well, because they failed the first tournament with the new roster. It was BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2024, where the team took the TOP-12.
They got into IEM Katowice 2024 based on ESL Ranking points. They were in the TOP-10 there before the start of the tournament, but for what merits is a big mystery.
Falcons started IEM Katowice 2024 with a defeat to the best team in Turkey – Eternal Fire. Having lost to the Turks dry, Falcons were close to leaving the tournament in the lower bracket match against Rebels, but were able to stay afloat thanks to a 2-1 victory. In fact, a similar situation happened in the match against CoL, where Falcons lost the first map, but made a comeback on the second and closed the series in the third. Later they beat NaVi, and by the end of the championship they took the TOP-4, losing to the future champions from Team Spirit.
Later they played at ESL Pro League Season 19, where they completely failed, finishing in the TOP-28. They started IEM Dallas 2024 with a loss to G2, but then confidently beat Monte with a score of 2-0. However, Falcons were not enough for much more and as a result of IEM Dallas 2024 they finished in the TOP-9–12.
Before performing at IEM Dallas 2024, they visited Challengers at DreamHack. They got to IEM Dallas 2024 thanks to the ESL rating. However, they didn’t manage to get far in IEM Dallas 2024: TOP-12. In general, Falcons showed a terrible game in the 2024 season, only occasionally, like at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024, they got into the prizes.
The Falcons' 2024 season culminated in their performance at the PW Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR A, where the team finished in the Top 14 without reaching the main tournament.
Season 2025 “Dream Team” started with a performance at BLAST Bounty Season 1. There Falcons expectedly failed, taking the TOP-16. At the subsequent IEM Katowice 2025 nothing changed: TOP-16, no chance.
PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 has been better than all the tournaments the Falcons have played in the 2025 season so far. For the first time in a long time, they reached the playoffs, and won the Swiss tournament with a score of 3-1. In the first round of the playoffs, the Falcons pleasantly surprised by winning Eternal Fire with a score of 2-0. Then – a victory over FaZe, but a loss to MOUZ in the grand final.
They started ESL Pro League Season 21 with a win over Liquid. And then – a loss to MOUZ and 3DMax. They clung to life in the tournament by beating FURIA, but then Eternal Fire happened and Falcons were eliminated from the TOP-11.
At BLAST Open Lisbon 2025, Falcons started their performance with a loss to MOUZ. Finding themselves in the lower bracket of Group A, they overtook Huns Esports. However, in the next round, they lost to Vp, thus finishing their performance at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 in 12th place.
At PGL Bucharest 2025, Falcons lost to CoL and GamerLegion, but barely tormented paiN, preserving a chance for the playoffs. Then they won against Rare Atom and advanced to the playoffs after defeating MongolZ. They opened the main part of PGL Bucharest 2025 with a victory over GamerLegion. Then they beat FaZe with a score of 2-1 and literally erased their main rival G2 in the grand final, winning the first major tournament in CS2 in a long time.
IEM Melbourne 2025 opened with a win against sAw. Then they beat NaVi, but lost to Vitality in the playoff seeding match, thus starting the main stage from the quarterfinals. In the first round of the playoffs, they destroyed GamerLegion, finishing the game with a score of 2-0, while giving up a total of 7 rounds in the series. The semifinals followed almost the same scenario: 13-3 and 13-6 in favor of Falcons. In the grand final, Falcons lost to Vitality with a score of 2-3 and this was one of the most colorful matches in the history of Counter-Strike 2.

Falcons' best map is Nuke (1 game, 1 win), followed by Ancient (1 win, 1 loss).
Among the unfavorable maps for Falcons are Vertigo and Anubis. On the first one they have 3 matches and 1 win, and on Anubis – 1 loss.
FaZe Form
We continue our analysis of the FaZe vs. Falcons match with an analysis of FaZe's game form. In this match, they are playing as underdogs with a win odds of around 2.2.
Among the main achievements of the last season were reaching the top three at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2023 and winning ESL Pro League Season 17. Also this year, FaZe received the award for Season 4 of the Intel Grand Slam, enriching themselves by $1,000,000.
Speaking of premium tournaments, they were less lucky. At IEM Rio 2023 – TOP-12, and also TOP-4 at IEM Dallas 2023. At the only major of the season, FaZe did not cope with the pressure, but got into the TOP-8.
Before the start of IEM Cologne 2023, they attended two BLAST series tournaments: Spring Final 2023 and Fall Groups 2023. They took the TOP-6 at the finals, and made it into the top three at Fall Groups 2023, earning themselves a slot at the autumn finals.

Despite the ubiquitous reshuffle and rather “average” results for the year, FaZe did not change the main roster. However, there were still replacements: FaZe introduced a new coach, the legendary Pole NEO. He replaced the legendary RobbaN in his position and this affected the gameplay of FaZe within the IEM Cologne 2023, where FaZe took the TOP-12.
The failures continued further. At Gamers8 2023, FaZe Clan took a similar place (9-12), losing at the start of the tournament to Vp with a score of 2-0.
Things weren't going too well at ESL Pro League Season 18. FaZe advanced to the playoffs in the upper bracket of Group C, beating 9Z Team and Fnatic, but lost to NaVi 0-2 in the match for seeding in the main stage. However, FaZe didn't get to play for long at ESL Pro League Season 18: in the very first match of the playoffs, which for FaZe began in the second stage, the team met MOUZ. The future EPL champions sent FaZe Clan home. As a result, FaZe ended up in 9-12th place in the top tournament.
FaZe rehabilitated themselves quite quickly. Already at IEM Sydney 2023, they triumphed by defeating CoL in the grand final.
FaZe Clan are having a great time at Thunderpick World Championship 2023. The European title team easily passed the group stage, becoming the best team in Group B, and then began to participate in the playoffs of the championship.
FaZe's first opponent in the Thunderpick World Championship 2023 playoffs was MOUZ. A tough opponent, but FaZe came through with a 2-1 win for the IEM Sydney 2023 champions.
At the CS Asia Championship 2023, FaZe confidently made it to the playoffs through Group B. Having taken an undisputed TOP-1, the team went straight to the semi-finals of the tournament. Then FaZe walked over heads: first they defeated ENCE with a score of 2-1 and in the grand final they won against MOUZ with a score of 2-0.
One of the most stable teams of the season has quite an extensive track record in the first half of the year. However, it mainly consists of “near” top results.
Their main achievements include reaching the top three at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2023 and winning ESL Pro League Season 17. This year, FaZe also won the Intel Grand Slam Season 4 award, earning $1,000,000.

At IEM Cologne 2024, FaZe started with a win over Team Liquid, but then lost to Vitality in the playoff match. Having fallen to the lower bracket of IEM Cologne 2024, FaZe beat Falcons 2-0, and then won in what was in fact the best match of the tournament, coming back from a 3-12 deficit against Liquid. However, there wasn’t enough energy for more: FaZe lost to sAw and left the tournament in the top 6.
FaZe later competed at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024, where they finished in the top 1-2.
At ESL Pro League S20, FaZe failed the first round of Group A, losing to Sangal Esports, after which they came back in the middle bracket, winning against FlyQuest, NiP. However, the comeback lasted for a long time, because after the meeting with CoL, FaZe Clan left the championship in 12-18th place.
After failing at ESL Pro League S20, FaZe finished TOP-4 at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2024, and then at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024, finishing TOP-8.
BLAST Premier: World Final 2024 met in Group A, where they played with a score of 1-1. At first they lost to MOUZ, but then snatched a victory from NaVi in the match for life in the tournament. However, in the playoffs they lost to Team Spirit, ultimately finishing in the TOP-6.
At PW Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR A, FaZe Clan beat C9 and Falcons, and then Fnatic, which brought them to the Major. At Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 itself, FaZe Clan beat Wildcard and Heroic, and lost to Heroic. Then they lost to G2, but still made it to the playoffs, shutting down FURIA in the decisive match. The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 playoffs began with a rather unexpected victory over Vitality in a difficult match. However, things got better from there, as FaZe knocked out one of the main favorites of the tournament, G2 Esports, in a very tense series with a score of 2-0. In the grand final, they fell a little short: 1-2 against Spirit.
In the 2025 season, they debuted with a performance at BLAST Bounty Season 1. There they took the TOP-16.
At IEM Katowice 2025, FaZe Clan started with the upper bracket matches of Group A, where they beat BIG, but lost to Vitality. Having got into the second round of the lower bracket, they beat G2 Esports, but Eternal Fire prevented them from reaching the playoffs, having beaten FaZe in the last round of the lower bracket.
The PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 tournament started with a 2-0 win over sAw. Then, a win over Eternal Fire and MOUZ and an exit to the playoffs with a 3-0 score. The main stage started for FaZe with a confident 2-0 win over sAw. But then there was an unexpected loss against Falcons, which led FaZe to the TOP-4.
FaZe attended BLAST Open Lisbon 2025, where they finished in the top 12. PGL Bucharest 2025 started with a loss to Astralis. Then they beat paiN, leveling the playing field. In the 1-1 basket match, they beat Rare Atom. In the 2-1 basket, they lost to CoL and only made it to the playoffs after beating Apogee in the 2-2 basket. In the first round of the playoffs, they beat 3DMax with a score of 2-0. In the next round, they lost to Falcons, which led FaZe to the match for the top 3. They successfully won it against CoL.
They also attended IEM Melbourne 2025. There, FaZe failed to advance from the group stage, losing to GamerLegion in Group A. FaZe finished IEM Melbourne 2025 in 8th place.

FaZe's best map is Mirage. They played 12 matches, winning 9 of them.
Next were Overpass with 8 matches and 5 wins. Played by Nuke (7 matches, 4 wins), Inferno (9 matches, 5 wins). Worse is Ancient, where there were 3 wins in 6 matches, and worst of all - Anubis. FaZe picked him 7 times, but played with a win rate of 42%.
They don't play on Vertigo.

In this match, my bet is on Falcons. After FaZe's poor performance in several tournaments in a row, and in contrast to Falcons' ultra-good performance, I am confident in the victory of the latter.
