Welcome to EGamersWorld.
We have reached the culmination of BLAST Open Lisbon 2025. There are 2 teams left in the race for the champion title.
MOUZ and Vitality will be among the contenders for the champion title. A rematch of the ESL Pro League Season 21 grand final, but in a different setting.
We are trying to figure out which of the Vitality – MOUZ pair will be stronger and become the champion of BLAST Open Lisbon 2025.
Let's go.
Vitality Form
We open the analysis of the match Vitality – MOUZ with an analysis of the game form of Vitality. In this match, the “French” will play first number with a coefficient for victory in the region of 1.2.
- Vitality composition: apEX, ZywOo, mezii, ropz, flameZ.
In their debut match at IEM Cologne 2023, Vitality only confirmed their status as one of the main favorites of Group B. OG tried, but were defeated with a score of 16-6 on Mirage and 16-13 on Anubis.
Having dealt with OG, Vitality took on MOUZ, who the “bees” dealt with even more defeat: 16-4 and 16-5.
In the playoff seeding match, Vitality met another TOP club – G2 Esports. A nerve-wracking game, where Vitality snatched a 19-17 victory on Inferno in the overtime, but then lost 10-16 on Vertigo and 8-16 on Mirage.
Having started the playoffs from the first round, they came across Cloud9. “Cloud” tried to put up a fight, and on the second map they almost succeeded, but ZywOo and company were unshakable: 16-11 Mirage and 19-17 Inferno. However, this was the end of Vitality’s stay in the tournament: in the semi-finals they met ENCE and, having lost with a score of 1-2, they were eliminated from the championship.
The top 4 at IEM Cologne did not embarrass Vitality at all, on the contrary, it spurred them on. By the end of the year, they had pocketed 3 more victories at title tournaments: they took revenge on ENCE in the grand final of Gamers8 and twice outscored FaZe in BLAST series tournaments (Fall Final 2023 and World Final 2023).
Before playing at PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B played BLAST Premier: Spring Groups, where they passed the group stage without any problems, and at IEM Katowice 2024, where they unexpectedly failed, finishing in the TOP-12.
At the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B Vitality trampled GamerLegion and Heroic without any problems, giving up a total of 5 rounds over two maps. But then it was worse - a loss to C9, but a victory over ENCE allowed Vitality to advance to the Major.
Vitality attended the first Major tournament of the season – PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024, where they managed to reach the TOP-4, but lost to FaZe Clan. Later they played at ESL Pro League Season 19, where they again started very vigorously and quite easily made it to the grand final, but were swept away by MOUZ.
At IEM Dallas 2024, they started with a very difficult victory over Monte, and then shut out G2 Esports. But in the match for seeding in the playoffs, they quite unexpectedly lost to 9z Team with a score of 0-2. The IEM Dallas 2024 playoffs themselves began much more confidently, shutting out Heroic with class with a score of 2-0. Then a confident victory over Spirit, but a loss to G2 Esports in the grand final.
Before their performance at the Esports World Cup 2024, Vitality attended the Blast Premier: Spring Final, where they reached the Top 4. At EWC 2024, Vitaltiy started with a confident victory over M80, which allowed them to advance straight to the playoffs.
Vitality finished in the TOP-8 at the Riyadh Major, which can hardly be called a good result. They rehabilitated themselves quite quickly, winning Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024. At the end of the season, they attended PW Shanghai Major 2024, where they reached the main stage, but failed to cope with FaZe in the first round.
The 2025 season started with a performance at BLAST Bounty Season 1, where they managed to reach the final stage, but not beyond the first round: a defeat from Eternal Fire and a final TOP-8.
At IEM Katowice 2025, Vitality started their performance right from the group stage. They beat 3DMax and FaZe one after another, which gave them a passage to the Group A final and a slot in the playoffs. Then they beat Vp with a score of 2-0, thanks to which they got straight to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, they dealt with a rather cheerful MongolZ, and in the grand final, they ate Spirit, smashing the best team in the world with a score of 3-0.
At ESL Pro League Season 21, Vitality passed the group stage with a score of 3-0. Then – victories over Liquid (2-0), MongolZ (2-1) and triumph in the grand final against MOUZ (3-0).
At BLAST Open Lisbon 2025, they started with a clear victory against Astralis (2-0). After that, they won against Vp with the same score of 2-0. In the match for seeding in the playoffs, they beat MOUZ with a score of 2-0. In the match for reaching the grand final, they beat Spirit (2-1).
Vitality Mappool
Vitality's best map is Nuke. There are 4 matches and 4 wins.
Anubis is doing very well (7 matches, 85% win rate), Mirage (4 matches, 75% win rate). In general, Vitality doesn't have any bad maps that they play. Vertigo - 71% win rate in 7 matches, Inferno and Overpass - 3 wins in 5 matches.
They don't play Ancient.
MOUZ Form
We continue our analysis of the MOUZ – Vitality match with an analysis of MOUZ’s game form. In this match, they play as underdogs with a win odds of around 4.6.
- MOUZ composition: torzsi, xertioN, Jimphat, Brollan, Spinx.
In the debut match of IEM Cologne 2023, MOUZ played The MongolZ. An easy walk on paper ended in a nervous bo1 in the overtime, with MOUZ winning 22-19 on Nuke.
Already in the match for the group stage, MOUZ were much more confident. They easily beat NiP with a score of 2-0 (16-12 Nuke and 16-7 Inferno).
The first match of the group stage was not a serious test for MOUZ either. NaVi lost on Ancient with a score of 16-9 and Overpass with a score of 16-12.
After defeating NaVi, MOUZ failed to gain a foothold and lost the next two series. As a result, the “mice” took the TOP-12 at IEM Cologne 2023.
Before ESL Pro League Season 18, the team played in the local championship Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #1. They managed to win, beating BIG 2-0 in the grand final.
In their debut match at ESL Pro League Season 18, MOUZ faced mibr. Being the favorites, the “mice” were unable to overcome the Brazilians and quite unexpectedly found themselves in the lower bracket of Group B.
The group stage for MOUZ was a mixed bag, but still more successful than not. A surprise upper bracket loss galvanized MOUZ and they effortlessly ran over opponents, including Heroic, at the bottom of the group stage. Without dropping a single map in the lower bracket, MOUZ made it here.
In the first round of the ESL Pro League Season 18 playoffs, MOUZ seemed to go wild. The Brazilians from FURIA were literally trampled, and the “mice” celebrated an easy victory with a score of 2-0, giving up a total of 9 rounds to their opponents during the game.
In the match before this, MOUZ met another giant of the European scene – FaZe Clan. The “mice” rushed through the match with courage and closed the series with a score of 2-0.
In the match for the entry here, MOUZ met G2 Esports. They became another trophy in the piggy bank of the “mice” at ESL Pro League S18.
MOUZ then went on to defeat ENCE (2-1) and NaVi in the EPL S18 Grand Final with a crushing 3-0 score. Before competing at Thunderpick World Championship 2023, MOUZ played at IEM Sydney 2023, where they faced FaZe again. This time, FaZ responded to the disappointing defeat and knocked MOUZ out at the Top 4 stage.
Thunderpick World Championship 2023 ended prematurely for MOUZ. They lost in the first round of the playoffs to FaZe, who later became the champions of the tournament.
Later there was the CS Asia Championship 2023, where MOUZ performed well. They reached the grand final, but lost to FaZe Clan with a score of 0-2.
At Elisa Masters Espoo 2023, MOUZ started their performance with a rather unexpected defeat. They lost to Apeks with a score of 16-19 in the first round of the group stage. Then there was a match with CoL for life at the event, which the “mice” won from a deficit of one map. However, it did not work out to stay in the championship race for long: MOUZ flew out at the TOP-6 stage.
After that, there was BLAST Premier: World Final 2023, where the “mice” took the TOP-4. This was the last tournament of the 2023 season. The 2024 season began with the TOP-7 at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European Qualifier B. Next was IEM Katowice 2024, where the “mice” took the TOP-4.
At PGL Major CS2 Copenhagen 2024, they made it from TOP-1-2 to European RMR B. At the tournament itself, the “mice” started their performance with a victory over Ecstatic, and then beat Eternal Fire, which gave them a passage to the 2-0 stage.
Next up was IEM China 2024, where MOUZ continued to “gain momentum.” This time, the team managed to reach the grand final, but FaZe turned out to be stronger.
MOUZ made it to the ESL Pro League Season 19 playoffs with great confidence. They also swept through the championship playoffs with confidence and ultimately won the tournament, beating Vitality 3-0 in the grand final.
MOUZ attended IEM Dallas 2024, where they finished in the TOP-12, which is very difficult to call a decent result for a team of MOUZ's level.
Esports World Cup 2024 MOUZ started with a match against Sashi Esports, where they won with a score of 2-1, which again is not very good. Having advanced to the playoffs, they beat FURIA Esports with a score of 2-1. Esports World Cup 2024 MOUZ itself finished at the TOP-4 stage, losing in the match for the grand final to NaVi.
IEM Cologne 2024 started right from the group stage, where they played against Falcons in the first match and won with a score of 2-1. And in the match for reaching the playoffs, they beat CoL even more confidently with a score of 2-0. In the first round of the playoffs, the “mice” very confidently beat G2 Esports with a score of 2-0, but then lost to NaVi dry, taking the TOP-4 as a result.
ESL Pro League Season 20 started with a shaky win over Rooster (2-1). MOUZ's problems at EPL S20 were revealed in the subsequent matches, when MOUZ lost to Imperial and CoL in successive 0-2 wins. Fnatic won the last chance bracket, and then lost to CoL 0-2, leaving ESL Pro League Season 20 without advancing to the playoffs.
At IEM Rio 2024, MOUZ played in Group A. They managed to advance to the playoffs from the lower bracket, after defeating CoL and FaZe Clan. In the playoffs themselves, they alternately defeated Vitality (2-1) and FURIA (2-0). They were unable to squeeze out the victory: in the grand final, they lost to NaVi with a score of 1-3. Later, MOUZ played at BLAST Premier: World Final 2024, where they took the TOP-6.
They got to the Elimination Stage of PW Shanghai Major 2024 thanks to their successful performance at European RMR A, where they took TOP-1-2. Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 started with a victory over paiN Gaming. Later they lost to MongolZ and FaZe, but defeated 3DMax. In the match for life at the tournament, they beat MIBR. MOUZ opened the playoffs of Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 with a match against MongolZ, where they won 2-0 on class, although not without problems. In the next match, MOUZ played against Spirit, where they lost with a score of 0-2.
The start of the 2025 season turned out to be quite difficult for the “mice”. The team played very mediocrely at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier, taking the TOP-32 there, and similarly did poorly at IEM Katowice 2025, not making it out of the group stage and finishing in 16th place.
The group stage of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 was a mixed bag: MOUZ started with victories over BIG and 3DMax, but then lost to Falcons and FaZe. In the decisive match, they beat Vp, which gave them a passage to the main stage. The playoffs started with a match against paiN Gaming, where MOUZ won with a score of 2-0. Then – a victory over Astralis and finally a victory over Falcons in the grand final.
They started ESL Pro League Season 21 with a win over FURIA. Then they beat Falcons, but they didn't let Vitality get into the playoffs with a score of 3-0. They did it on the next try, beating Liquid. They started the playoffs with a win over G2 Esports (2-1). In the semi-finals, they beat Spirit in a tough match. However, they didn't have enough strength for the grand final: MOUZ lost to Vitality with a score of 0-3.
At the start of BLAST Open Lisbon 2025, MOUZ played against Falcons, where they won with a score of 2-0. Then they won a very difficult victory in the match against Spirit (2-1). But as expected, they did not have enough strength against Vitality: 0-2 and getting into the first round of the playoffs. The playoffs opened with a match against G2 Esports, where the “mice” ran over the “samurais” without a chance. In the match for reaching the grand final, they beat Eternal Fire with a score of 2-0.
MOUZ Mappool
MOUZ's favorite map remains Inferno. Over the last 3 months, the "mice" have played it three times and won all their games there. Things are also fine on Nuke: MOUZ won 3 "nukes" out of 4 played.
Some good options include Vertigo and Ancient, where MOUZ has 2 wins in 3 games.
The most undesirable map is Mirage. MOUZ played it 6 times, but managed to win only once.
History of personal meetings MOUZ – Vitality
The teams have played each other many times before. In the 2025 season alone, the teams played 3 times and Vitality won all matches. Moreover, they won at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025.
Predicted result of the match Vitality vs MOUZ at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025
I don't think the trend will change much. MOUZ looks good, but Vitality is simply better.
Result: Vitality wins.
