BLAST World Finals 2023 is just under a fortnight away, but that doesn't mean the Counter-Strike 2 pep rally is over. The Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 play-offs begin in Espoo, Finland, where 4 teams continue to fight for the $100,000 prize pool. They will play in the main stage of the championship.

The play-offs will start with Apeks vs ENCE. It's quite an invigorating match with the participation of perhaps the main contenders to win the tournament.

We are trying to figure out which of the teams will be stronger and will get the victory in this match, and at the same time will pass to the grand final, where the winner of the match HAVU - FURIA will be waiting for.

Commencing our analysis, let's focus on evaluating ENCE's current form. In this upcoming match, the top Finnish club plays in the status of favorites, with odds for victory hovering around 1.7. IEM Dallas 2023 turned out to be much more pleasant. ENCE looked quite cheerful throughout the event, which allowed them to defeat MOUZ in the grand finals with a score of 2-0. Just before IEM Cologne 2023, ESL Challenger Katowice was played, where they had to defeat Vp in the grand final 1-2.

ENCE have been playing in a stable roster for almost half a year. SunPayus and NertZ headline the roster with a KDA of 1.12.

Thanks to their victory at IEM Dallas 2023 ENCE started Cologne from the group stage. The first opponent was the Poles from 9INE, who gave the Finns serious problems, but lost with a score of 1-2 and a series of dops on the decisive map.

The next match was a match against Fnatic. ENCE won both maps, leaving Fnatic no special chances.

In the match for the Grand Final ENCE played against Heroic. Being an outsider, the Finns took a very good approach to the match and shut down the top 1 team in the world with a score of 2-1 in a tough Bo3.

Next up was a match against Vitality and as a result a passage to the Grand Final of IEM Cologne 2023. ENCE was not enough for the title, G2 Esports were stronger.

After an offensive Cologne 2023 ENCE started Gamers8 on a high note. They defeated Liquid 2-0 in the first match of the tournament.

In the semi-final match they played against Cloud9. Again, the Finns closed the series with a score of 2-0, leaving little chance for the Americans.

Later ENCE beat Heroic again, and dry, and in the grand final Gamers8 faced Vitality. Again, ENCE failed to take the title, Ledgeiv with a 1-2 score.

At the ESL Pro League Season 18 Long Round of the ESL Pro League, ENCE faced off against Evil Geniuses. The North American club even gave a fight, but only on the second map (14-16 Nuke), but still lost.

ENCE faced MIBR in the match to reach the final of the top grid of Group B at ESL Pro League Season 18. The new generation of the legendary Brazilian tag showed beautiful CSGO, and it was enough for one map.

Before the play-offs, ENCE defeated BIG in a match to advance to the quarter-finals. The game ended 2-1, and ENCE were the winner of their group.

In the quarter-finals ENCE played against Movistar Riders. As expected, the Spaniards couldn't offer any proper resistance and were swept on two maps (16-2 Overpass and 16-5 Anubis).

ENCE's journey to ESL Pro League Season 18 ended at the semi-final stage. The Finns Ledge and future tournament champions MOUZ lost 1-2.

They played at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown, which they failed. At the tournament the Finns finished top 4, which is hardly a serious result considering the level of the championship and the teams that played there.

ENCE also played at IEM Sydney 2023 - the first major tournament in CS2. There they managed to reach the play-offs of the championship, but in the first match of the main stage Ledge and FaZe Clan, who later became the champions of the tournament.

Before participating at the home Elisa Masters Espoo ENCE played at the CS Asia Championship 2023. There ENCE reached the semi-finals, Ledge beating the future champions from FaZe.

In the group stage of Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 ENCE took the top 2. They finished it with a score of 2-1, Ledgeeaving only their compatriots from HAVU.

ENCE has two 100% maps. They are Nuke, who has already played at IEM Cologne 2023 with 9 wins in 9 matches, and Anubis with 5 matches and 0 losses.

Still playing Ancient (66% wins in 3 matches). Still playing Mirage (9 matches, 4 wins). Vertigo with 2 wins and 3 losses and Overpass (2 wins in 7 matches).

Apeks Form

We continue the match analysis with the analysis of Apeks form. In this match, they will play as Underpassdogs, with odds to win at around 2.1.

The 2023 season has been a very productive one for Apeks, but the team's performance remains questionable. Over a dozen tournaments were played, but the high-profile results can be listed on the fingers of one hand.

They started the season with a top-16 finish at CCT South Europe Season 2. Next was the nightmarish Elisa Invitational Winter 2023 with a top-20 and then a top-4 CCT West Euroe Series #1.

In the middle of the year, Apeks took Top 2 at CCT West Europe Series #2 and Top 8 at BB Playlist. Urbanistic and Brazy Party. However, it was much more important to make it to the TOP-6 at European RMR A and to get to BLAST.tv Paris Major.

Paris Major itself became Apeks' moment of glory. Being a clear Underpassdog, Apeks managed to surprise the audience and make it to the top 4, where they were defeated by the future champions from Vitality.

Before the Long Convergence Gamers8, the team took part in IEM Cologne 2023, where they finished in the Top 20, CCT Online Finals #2, with Top 12 and Top 16 at ThunderPick World Championship 2023: European Series #1. The results are frankly so-so, but it doesn't get much better than that in the rivalry.

After the extremely successful BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Apeks changed their line-up. The 13th team of the world was completed by Macedonian CacaNito, who replaced in the roster headliner jL, who moved to NaVi.

After the roster shake-up, Apeks continued to perform at all sorts of tournaments. Their portfolio includes appearances at Gamers8 (TOP-16), CCT North Europe Series #7 (TOP-16), absolutely failed EPL Season 18 (TOP-28), CCT East Europe Series #2 (TOP-4).

Just before Roobet Cup 2023 Apeks took part in ESL Challenger At DreamHack Winter 2023: Europe Qualifier and IEM Sydney 2023. At the qualifier event they took TOP-6, but in Sydney they reached TOP-12.

At the Roobet Cup 2023 Apeks got into Group C, where they were opposed by BIG, 9INE and Astralis. The quartet, to put it bluntly, was not the easiest, nevertheless Apeks managed to reach the play-offs from the second place, losing only to BIG at the beginning of the group stage. However, having started in a good way, they finished in a bad way: the final place - TOP 8, which is not bad in principle, but obviously could be better.

At Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 Apeks won Group B quite unexpectedly. Considering the fact that MOUZ and Complexity are there, this is a very decent result, and Apeks are clearly aiming for a high place at this tournament.

Apeks has an extensive map pool. The most frequent map is Inferno (12 maps, 83% wins).

Mirage (63% wins with 11 matches), Anubis (62% wins, 8 matches), Ancient (46% wins, 13 matches).
