The format of ESL One Genting 2018 announced
The organizers of the upcoming Dota 2 tournament announced the first details of the format of the event.
All teams were divided into two groups with 8 teams in each. In the group stage, the players will play in GSL system. In the result of the group stage, 3 best teams from each group will get to the play-off.

The participants that will take the first places in the group will start their participation in the play-off at the semi-final, whereas the teams that took 2-3 places in the groups will get to the quarterfinals. All matches, except for the Grand final, will be played in Bo3 format. The decisive match will be played in Bo5 format.
ESL One Genting 2018 is a minor tournament and it will take place in Malaysia on January 23 – 28. The prize pool for the event is $400,000 and 400 DPC Points.
