DreamLeague S24, a major 16-team online tournament with a prize pool of $1,000,000, is underway. The top prize of the championship, which runs from 27 October to 10 November, is $300,000.
The tournament is now playing the second part of the group stage. Here 8 teams are fighting in Single Round-Robin format, after which 4 clubs will get into the play-offs. Team Spirit and Xtreme Gaming are among the contenders to make it to the main stage of the championship.

Xtreme Gaming uniforms
We open the analysis of the match Xtreme Gaming - Spirit with the analysis of Xtreme's form. In this match they are playing as favourites with odds to win at around 1.6.
At DPC 2023: China Upper Division Xtreme Gaming were ranked in the top 5. For a team with such a roster, that result was not just unacceptable, but rather terrible.
The deplorable state of Xtreme Gaming became even more evident after The Lima Major 2023, where Paparazzi and company did not qualify. At the tournament in Peru, only Aster and PSG.LGD showed some promise, while Knights and Ehome, who Xtreme Ledge played in their home league, were suspected of using cheats and ceased to exist after Lima.
However, Xtreme managed to pull itself together. The team called up the experienced Kaka for the fourth position and started to play. Xtreme won their home league with this squad. In this lineup they travelled to Berlin, where they made it to the group stage of The Berlin Major 2023. However, they finished in the top 12, which is not very good.
The third round was a nightmare for Xtreme. They finished in the top 5, which is not a critical indicator, but for teams of Paparazzi and company's level, not making it to the Major with not the strongest competition is a failure.

Before Long Sogpeg Riyadh Masters 2023, Xtreme Gaming invited XinQ to join the team. The PSG.LGD legend was supposed to strengthen the roster, but the output Xtreme got was about the same as the previous championships - Top 16.

They played at DreamLeague Season 22, where they reached the TOP-3. After that, Xtreme Gaming won the Elite League.
The series of successful championships was interrupted at ESL One Birmingham 2024. There Xtreme Gaming made it to the play-offs, but failed to jump above the top 8.
Xtreme Gaming shined at PGL Wallachia Season 1. The Chinese didn't lose a single map until the grand finals, where they let their guard down: Team Spirit beat Xtreme Gaming 3-2, thus "stealing" the well-deserved title from Ame and company.
Xtreme played at DreamLeague Season 23, where they finished in the top 4, and at Riyadh Masters 2024, where they finished in the top 8. A month later came the home Clavision: Snow Ruyi, where Xtreme Gaming became champions. However, at one of the most important tournaments of the year - The International 2024 - they took TOP-6, which can be considered a good result for modern China.
Xtreme went through the first group stage with a 1-6-0 record, not losing a single game, but winning only the series. The second part of the group stage started with an unexpected defeat against Team Waska.

The most popular hero of Xtreme Gaming is Storm Spirit. Paparazzi played him 5 times, but won only 2 matches.
We also took Alchemist (4 matches, 75% wins), Phoenix (4 matches, 50% wins), Keeper of the Light (4 matches, 25% wins), Rubick (4 matches, 25% wins).
There was also Pangolier, Underlord, Pugna, Dragon Knight. All heroes appeared 3 times and won 2 matches each.
Spirit Form
We continue our analysis of the Spirit vs Xtreme match with an analysis of Spirit's form. In this match, the Dragons will play in Underpassdog status with odds to win around 2.6.
In the first round of DPC 2023: EEU Division 1 Spirit were ranked 2nd. Back then, the Dragons were prevented from winning by BB Team, who finished the tournament in first place with a score of 7-0. After playing in their home league, Team Spirit visited The Lima Major 2023 where they finished in the top 8.
Later Spirit played the second round of the home league and again finished in the top 2. Going to The Berlin Major 2023 they expected to improve the result of the previous Major, but in the end it got worse: already TOP-12.
Despite the "sluggish" game on the international arena, Spirit still consistently come out of the groups at the Major, and at home they look like the main contender for victory in every game. This was the case in the third season of DPC 2023.
Spirit finished the Eastern Europe final cycle in first place. It took 3 tries to earn the championship in Eastern Europe.

Spirit visited The Bali Major 2023, but the trip there ended in failure. The team finished in the top 12 and didn't make it to the prizes.
Team Spirit made it to the Riyadh Masters 2023 directly into the group stage. The Dragons finished with a score of 8-6 and the second place in Group A.
Once in the play-offs Team Spirit started their way to the grand finals. In the first match they outplayed Team Aster, after a very difficult Long Srpeg on two maps.
Next was BB Team and almost identical series: Spirit fell behind on all 3 maps, but somehow won 2-1.
In the match to reach the grand finals they played against Liquid. After giving up the first map, they cameback on the second and demolished Liquid on the third. At the Riyadh Masters 2023, Spirit were transformed into macro masters. Not least because of this, Spirit became the champions of the biggest tournament of the year.
Before the Long Sogpeg The International 2023, Spirit became the champions of DreamLeague Season 21. In the grand finals, they ran over Shopify Rebellion with a score of 3-0.
At The International 2023, the Dragons are still unbeaten. Spirit became the only team not to lose a single game in the first stage of the group stage, finishing 8-0. They were in dominant form throughout the tournament, taking home the Aegis of Immortals trophy.
Things were not so smooth in the 2024 season. Spirit finished top-4 at DreamLeague Season 22 and won PGL Wallachia Season 1, but they couldn't get above top-8 and top-12 at the Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024, respectively.
In the first round of the DreamLeague S24 group stage, Team Spirit went 3-3-1 in Basket B. They started the second part of the group stage with a 3-3-1 score. The second part of the groups started with a match against Liquid and there they won with a score of 2-1.
