The rosters haven't met before as OpTic Gaming often  played at big competitions and Team Serenity were not able to overcome even open qualifiers for the same competitions.

OpTic Gaming stopped one step behind the direct invitation to The International, but still they managed to get it thanks to the third place at the closed regional qualifiers. Right after the elimination round of the main championship of the year, the roster participated in DOTA Summit 9, but they were not able to achieve more than the 5-6 position. At the moment of this material being written, the collective is taking the last but one place in their group at The International 2018 because of their loss against Virtus.Pro.

Meanwhile Team Serenity were gathered together in January 2018 and the have made a great leap in the game for these six months - the collective left no chance for their opponents and got the first place at the qualifiers for The International 2018 in China, leaving LGD.FY behind. The collective performs very well and at the moment of this material being written, they have played with Team Secret and Virtus.Pro which resulted in draws.

We lean towards Team Serenity, as they look really strong and now they remind Wings Gaming in 2016. But we shouldn't underestimate OpTic Gaming  for sure, as these guys know how to play with the best teams and they are likely to do their best to try to get the points.
