The second group stage matches of DreamLeague Season 22 are underway. Slowly but surely, teams are accelerating on their way to the play-offs.
We are watching the second day of battles. It will be opened by BB with a match against Xtreme Gaming.
Let's try to figure out who from the leaders of the standings will continue their winning streak in the second group stage of DreamLeague Season 22, and who will have to earn the first defeat in the stage, crossing out a good Long Corner.

BB Team uniforms
We start the match breakdown with an analysis of BB Team's match form. In this encounter, the Eastern European residents will play the number one side, with odds to win at around 1.5.
In the first season of the regional league BB Team took the top 1, very confidently running over their main opponents Spirit and HR. However, this success was quickly overshadowed by their performance at Lima Major 2023, where BB failed to make it out of the group.
A few inconclusive events later, BB Team began play in the second division of the DPC. This time the situation changed dramatically, from top 1 to top 3, but on the international stage everything was stable: another failure to get out of the group at the Major e.
The third season of DPC was held under the slogan "it's time to get back", but somehow it didn't work out, something didn't go well and in the end - TOP-2. Again, kind of significant, but if we compare Western and Eastern Europe, TOP-2 in the first case is much more prestigious than BB's achievement.

BB Team's moment of glory was DreamLeague Season 20. Having got to the tournament quite by chance (they replaced Execration), the Eastern European residents managed to make it to the grand final of the tournament, where they beat Gladiators, but eventually lost with the score 2-3.
After a solid group stage at The Bali Major 2023 with a 4-2-2 from BB, Eastern European Resident made it to the top set of play-offs. There the team outplayed Tundra Esports, but due to a tournament rules violation that result was cancelled. As a result, Bali Major 2023 ended for BB Team in the top 12.
After the last Major tournament of the season BB Team attended a number of other events. Among them is the Riyadh Masters 2023. At the biggest commercial tournament of the season, BB Team made it to the top 6, which is pretty good.
In addition to the Riyadh Masters 2023 BB Team also made an appearance at the BB Dacha. The tournament from the main sponsor BB Club finished without having started: BB Team failed to get out of the group and as a result finished in the top 8.
In the group stage of DreamLeague Season 21 BB Team played in Group B. They managed to take the 2nd place, passing only Team Spirit.
BB visited The International 2023. Then the team managed to reach the top 6, but they were knocked out of the tournament by Azure Ray.
At ESL Kuala Lumpur 2023 BB played the group stage neutrally, playing all matches in a draw. This allowed them to advance to the play-offs, where BB looked much better than they did in the group: 2-0 against Tundra Esports and 2-0 against G2.IG. However, BB Team went on to face Team Liquid and ended up in the top 4. Next BB Team played at BB Dacha Dubai 2024, where they reached the Top 3.
At the end of the first day of games at DreamLeague Season 22 BB Team took the first place in their group. They won against GG and played a draw with Vp. Further the situation for BB was not worse: on the second day they closed Azure Ray with the score 2-0. Despite two draws on the third day, this did not prevent them from qualifying for the play-offs of the tournament.
The second stage of DreamLeague Season 22 started with a win, but a tough one. Against OG, the team lost the first map, but then cameback on the following maps, thus winning the match.
BB Team's most popular characters
The most used BB Team character is Storm Spirit (5 matches, 60% wins). The team also plays with Primal Beast and Pugna at position 4, and both heroes have 4 matches and 100% wins each. In spades was Enchantress (4 matches, 25% wins), Beastmaster (4 games, 0% wins).
Xtreme Gaming Form.
We continue our match review with an analysis of Xtreme Gaming's match form. In their second match of the stage, the Chinese are playing as number two, with odds to win at around 2.7.
At DPC 2023: China Upper Division, Xtreme Gaming were ranked in the top 5. For a team with such a roster, that result was not just unacceptable, but rather terrible.
The deplorable state of Xtreme Gaming became even more evident after The Lima Major 2023, where Paparazzi and company did not qualify. At the tournament in Peru, only Aster and PSG.LGD showed some promise, while Knights and Ehome, who Xtreme Ledge played in their home league, were suspected of using cheats and ceased to exist after Lima.
However, Xtreme managed to pull itself together. The team called up the experienced Kaka for the fourth position and started to play. Xtreme won their home league with this squad. In this lineup they travelled to Berlin, where they made it to the group stage of The Berlin Major 2023. However, they finished in the top 12, which is not very good.
The third round was a nightmare for Xtreme. They finished in the top 5, which is not a critical indicator, but for teams of Paparazzi and company level, not making it to the Major with not the strongest competition is a failure.

Before the Long Copeg Riyadh Masters 2023, Xtreme Gaming invited XinQ to the team. The PSG.LGD legend was supposed to strengthen the roster, but Xtreme got about the same as they had at the previous championships - Top 16.
They made their debut at The International 2023 - China Qualifier with a match against Aster.Aries. Despite 2-0 on the scoreboard, Xtreme Gaming still had to deal with Aster's youth. They also looked good throughout the qualifiers, but Xtreme was not enough for the grand final: Azure Ray celebrated their victory and passage to the TI.
The new competitive year started with a performance at BB Dacha Dubai 2024, where they took TOP-8.
Xtreme Gaming finished the first group stage of DreamLeague Season 2024 on the first line of Group B, sharing it with Shopify Rebellion and Aurora.
The second stage of DreamLeague Season 22 started against Team Spirit. One of the main contenders for victory - Spirit - Ledgeili in a full-fledged Bo3, giving Xtreme a brief stay at the top of the standings.

The most popular hero of Xtreme Gaming is Storm Spirit. Paparazzi played it 5 times, but won only 2 matches.
We also took Alchemist (4 matches, 75% wins), Phoenix (4 matches, 50% wins), Keeper of the Light (4 matches, 25% wins), Rubick (4 matches, 25% wins).
There was also Pangolier, Underlord, Pugna, Dragon Knight. All heroes appeared 3 times and won 2 matches each.

BB and Xtreme played each other this season, at Dacha Dubai 2024. Then Xtreme celebrated a clean 2-0 victory.

To be honest, I don't fully understand why BB has such an advantage. As far as I'm concerned, it's going to be a pretty even game and I wouldn't call BB the favourite. A good bo2 group is not an indicator, especially when Xtreme also won their bo2 basket. All in all, I'll take my chances and look out for an Xtreme win.
Bottom line: Xtreme wins.
