Glad to see you on EGamersWorld.
The LCK 2025 Season – Rounds 1-2 matches are not even thinking about ending. And this is only the starting stage, Rounds 1-2, which means there is a lot of League of Legends ahead.
However, there is no need to look too far ahead. On May 2nd we will see an interesting match between T1 – Freecs.
We will figure out how the duel between the current world champions T1 and Freecs will end, who now have every chance to cling to victory against such a serious opponent.
Let's go.
Form T1
We open the analysis of the match T1 – Freecs with an analysis of the game form of T1. In this match they play as favorites with a coefficient of victory in the region of 1.2.
T1 won LCK Spring 2022, and then three TOP-2s in a row: MSI, LCK Summer and Worlds 2022.
The curse of the top 2 has carried over into the 2023 season. At the start of the year, Faker and company took 2nd place at LCK Spring 2023, and then finished third at MSI 2023.
- T1 lineup: Doran, Oner, Faker, Gumayusi/Smash, Keria.
LCK Summer 2023 was a real test for T1. The team made it to the playoffs, but did so with difficulty, finishing 5th in the group stage with a score of 9-9.
The main player, Faker, had problems. The legendary mid player injured his hand and this clearly affected T1's overall playing condition. But now Faker seems to be back in the ranks.
The Faker factor played out. T1 defeated a serious opponent in the person of Dplus and made their way to the next round, where their opponent will be KT Rolster. The latter, by the way, chose T1 as their opponent.
Next up was an opponent no less capable than Dplus. Faker and company played against KT Rolster and won that match 3-2.
Gen.G became T1's opponent in the playoff match. The former tried, and even got the game to a 2-1 score, but they couldn't finish it: Gen.G came back, and Chovy turned out to be better than his counterpart Faker.
In the match for the grand final, T1 almost lost to KT Rolster after a great start 2-0. Gumayusi saved the day, dragging the game on map 5 with his Xayah.
However, this did not allow them to win the final. T1 met their sworn enemy Gen.G, where they were crushingly defeated with a score of 0-3.
T1 opened Worlds 2023 with a game against Liquid. Being the clear favorite of the series, they closed the match against the “liquids” in their favor, but it would be hard to call that victory easy: Liquid held on for 36 minutes and lost by only 1 kill. Everything was decided in the final fight in the midlane, after which T1 closed the series.
In the 1-0 basket, T1 ran into their kryptonite – the Gen.G team. Faker and company started off well, but the first team in the LCK is the first one for a reason – to adjust the pace of the game to their own and ultimately win the match.
Next, T1 faced Cloud9. It was probably the most crushing match I've seen at this Worlds. Naturally, it ended in T1's favor.
Having trampled Cloud9, T1 set about beating Bilibili Gaming, and they succeeded. T1 easily beat the vice-champions of MSI 2023 with a score of 2-0.
In the playoffs, T1 played against LNG. Scout, who was not unreasonably called the best player of Worlds 2023, was so until November 5: T1 wiped LNG to smithereens, closing the series with a score of 3-0.
In the semi-finals of Worlds 2023, T1 met with, perhaps, the main contender for victory in the championship – JD Gaming. No matter how formidable the Chinese were, they were unable to beat the experienced T1. As a result, Faker and company won the match with a score of 3-1 and T1 for the sixth (!) time reached the grand final of the most important tournament in the League of Legends. And then they won it for the 4th time, which is an absolute record in the competitive League of Legends and in eSports in general.
After a great start to the LCK Spring 2024 regular season, T1 fell a bit, finishing 15-3 and in third place. T1 started the playoffs against Hanwha Life Esports and, to my surprise, they completely blew the game, losing 0-3. In the lower bracket of the playoffs, T1 played against DPlus KIA and beat them 3-0. Then they defeated their tormentors from HLE 3-1, thereby becoming the second and last team from Korea at MSI 2024.
T1 got to the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 by finishing in the top 2 of LCK Spring 2024. In the Play-In MSI 2024, T1 easily took two series with a score of 2-0 and advanced to the Bracket Stage. They started the Bracket Stage with a nerve-wracking victory over G2 Esports with a score of 3-2. In the match for reaching the top 3, T1 met BLG and lost rather toothlessly with a score of 1-3. Next was a match with Liquid, where T1 won with a score of 3-1. Then they played against G2 Esports in a rematch of the first round of MSI 2024 and again won, but this time cleanly - 3-0 in favor of T1. But in the next match, T1 were unable to win: BLG beat T1 with a score of 3-1.
T1 came off a 5-1 run at LCK Summer 2024 to compete at Esports World Cup 2024.
During the break between LCK Summer 2024 matches, T1 visited Riyadh, where they became champions of the Esports World Cup 2024 with a prize pool of $1,000,000. They defeated TOP Esports in the grand final.
T1 entered the LCK Summer 2024 playoffs from the 4th place of the regular season. During LCK Summer 2024, they played 11-7, which is not a good result for a club of T1's level. In the first match of the LCK Summer 2024 playoffs, T1 beat KT Rolster with a score of 3-1, but then ran into HLE and lost without a chance with a score of 0-3. Later, they beat DPlus KIA, but then a replay of the match with HLE and again an unimaginative loss with a score of 1-3 and as a result, TOP-3 of LCK Summer 2024.
T1 made it to Worlds 2024 from the LCK regional finals, where they defeated KT Rolster with a minimal 3-2 margin in the match for a spot at the World Championship.
At Worlds 2024, T1 debuted with a close loss to Top Esports. They then easily dealt with paiN Gaming and won a tough match against Bilibili Gaming to take the score to 2-1. In the playoff match, T1 beat G2 Esports 2-0.
In the World Championship 2024 playoffs, they debuted with a match against Top Esports. T1 has never lost to an LPL team in the Worlds playoffs in their entire history. They didn’t lose this time either, beating TES 3-0. In the next match of Worlds 2024, T1 met their eternal kryptonite – Gen.G. T1 had never beaten Gen.G over the past year, but that didn’t stop them from winning the most important match of the season and winning confidently, with a score of 3-1. In the grand final of the World Championship, T1 met the strongest team in China – BLG, and fought hard to snatch the title of world champions, closing the series with a score of 3-2. T1 became 5-time Worlds champions.
T1 started the 2025 season with Baron Group, where they confidently took the TOP-1. Faker and company, practically without Gumayusi, won the group with a score of 4-1, advancing to the second round of Play-In. In Play-In, they won against Nongshim RedForce with a score of 2-0, thereby advancing to the playoffs. But there was a surprise: T1 lost to HLE in the first round, taking the TOP-6.
Things are going really bad for T1 in LCK 2025 Season – Rounds 1-2. T1 is 4-4 in series and 5th place in the standings after 4 weeks.

Freecs Form
We continue our analysis of the Freecs – T1 match with an analysis of Freecs’ game form. In this match, they are playing as underdogs with a win odds of around 7.
The most successful year can be called 2018, when Freecs entered the TOP-3 in LCK twice (2nd place LCK Spring 2023, 3rd place LCK Summer 2018) and got to Worlds 2018. And there they managed to get to the playoffs, but lost to Cloud9, finishing their performance in the TOP-8.
In the following years, they managed to reach the Top 4 of the LCK series tournaments four times. They took the Top 4 at the LCK Regional Finals 2019, LCK Summer 2020, Top 3 at the LCK Regional Finals 2020, and Top 4 at the LCK Spring 2022.
In 2023, Freecs failed both LCK splits. First, they took the top 7 at LCK Spring, failing to advance from their group, and then they took the last, 10th place at LCK Summer 2023.
- Freecs members: DuDu, Pyosik, BuLLDog, Berserker, Life.
Freecs decided to strengthen Cuzz in the new season. The other four played for the club in the last and the season before.
Freecs will debut at LCK Spring 2024 against T1. Obviously, they have no chance of winning there. Next up is HLE. Freecs have an interesting calendar overall, nothing to say.
However, a difficult start did not prevent Freecs from reaching the LCK Spring 2024 playoffs. It was difficult, but they won 7 matches out of 18 played, took the TOP-6 and got into the main stage. However, they did not manage to get past the first round: as a result - TOP-6 LCK Spring 2024.
At LCK Summer 2024, Freecs finished in the top 7, which was about the result that was to be expected. During the offseason, they changed the roster, but this did not significantly affect the results.
In the 2025 season, they started their performance by participating in the LCK Cup 2025. They took the TOP-9, which is not a good result even with a strong desire. At the LCK 2025 Season – Rounds 1-2, they are close to repeating the result of the spring split: they lost 8 out of 8 matches in 4 weeks.
Most Popular Freecs Champions
The most frequent guest is KSante (10 games, 8 wins). Gnar appears (6 matches, 50% wins), less often Sion (2 matches, 100% wins) and Renekton (2 matches, 50% wins).
In the jungle, the ubiquitous Maokai is ignored (he only appeared once and lost). However, Vi (6 games, 100% wins), Elise (6 games, 60% wins), Sejuani (4 games, 75% wins) get quite a lot of attention.
The mid lane is occupied by Syndra (7 matches, 85% win rate), Ryze (4 matches, 0% win rate), Talliyah (3 games, 66% win rate).
Among the marksmen, Lucian is loved (5 matches, 80% win rate), Varus (4 games, 75% win rate), Zeri, Sivir and Caitlyn appeared 3 times each and only Sivir did not win a single game.
Supports: Nami (7 matches, 85% wins), Ashe (4 matches, 50% wins), Yummi (3 matches, 33% wins).
Freecs – T1 Personal Meeting History
Over the past year, the teams have played each other twice: both matches ended in favor of T1 and both with a score of 2-1.
Predicted Result of T1 vs. Freecs Match at LCK 2025 Season – Rounds 1-2
I expect T1 to win this match, but their current state makes me sad. If only Freecs could take the first series, then they could also take it from T1. It still sounds fantastic, of course, but T1 have already lost 4 matches, which is a lot.
Result: T1 win/handicap +1.5 on Freecs.
