We continue to get acquainted with the matches of the regular season of LEC Spring 2025. The race for big prizes is between the 10 best teams in Europe.
Among the participants of LEC Spring 2025 are Vitality and GIANTX. Both teams can hardly be called favorites of the tournament, but they will try, there is no doubt about it.
We are trying to figure out which of the teams will begin their long journey through the group stage with a victory, and which will suffer a defeat at the start of the tournament.

GiantX Form
We open the analysis of the GiantX – Vitality match with an analysis of GiantX's game form. In this match, they play as favorites with a win coefficient of around 1.6.

Not only did GIANTX take the TOP-3, they also reached the grand final of the split, which guaranteed themselves a spot in the LEC Finals. They lost to Vitality in the final, but there is nothing shameful about that, you have to understand.
The achievements of LEC Summer 2023 are in danger of being erased given the experience of the first match of LEC Finals 2023. In the match against MAD Lions, GIANTX looked more like those we saw during LEC Winter and Spring, but not in the Summer Split.
In the next match, then EXCEL met Fnatic. That match was more like something worthwhile and ended in a full bo5, but in favor of Fnatic. For ex-Excel, the LEC Finals 2024 ended in the TOP-5.
In their first match under the new tag, GIANTX will meet Vitality. I think the bees will lose. Now, the game against BDS is much more interesting. If they can beat the first French team, then it is hard to believe in success against BDS.
GiantX barely made it to the LEC Winter 2024 playoffs. They only managed to do so during the last regular season match against Rogue. And in the very first round of the main stage, they were matched against Vitality, which led to a quick 0-2 loss. The same outcome awaited GIANTX in the lower bracket match, where they were matched against MAD Lions, who eventually reached the grand final.
In the regular season of LEC Spring 2024, GiantX took 6th place. In the first round of LEC Spring 2024 Playoffs, they played against Fnatic. There, everything ended in two maps. And then there was a fight with Mad Lions in the lower bracket and a loss with a score of 1-2.
At the LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs, GiantX made it from 7th place with a score of 3-6. In the first game of the LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs, GiantX played against Fnatic, taking the map. GiantX's good play continued in the next round of the playoffs, where the club played against Team Heretics and won with a score of 2-1. However, their performance at the LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs ended in a match against BDS, where GiantX lost with a score of 1-2, thereby taking the TOP-6 of the LEC Summer 2024. Then there were the LEC Finals 2024, where they took the TOP-6.
The LEC Winter 2025 group stage ended for GiantX in 6th place with a score of 5-4. Not bad, considering the overall form of GiantX in the 2025 season. The LEC Winter 2025 playoffs started with a match against G2 Esports, where GiantX tried, but could not show anything: 0-2 and was eliminated in the lower part of the bracket. There they beat Heretics, but in the next round they lost to KOI and left the championship in the TOP-5-6.

Vitality Form
We continue our analysis of the Vitality – GIANTX match with an analysis of Vitality’s game form. In this match, they are playing as underdogs with a win odds of around 2.3.
They started their performance last season by participating in LEC Winter 2023. In the regular season, Vitality walked over their opponents: they played it with a score of 7-2, and then went to play the group stage, where they were much less lucky. So much so that Vitality failed to get out of their basket, losing to SK Gaming and KOI. As a result - TOP-5.
Next came the performance at LEC Spring 2024. This was Vitality's best split, where they managed to reach the TOP-3. However, this was enough for absolutely nothing: just the TOP-3.
Vitality's last tournament of the last season was LEC Summer 2023. And it was an absolute fiasco: Vitality showed their worst performance of the year, playing the regular season with a score of 1-8 and finishing in the top-10 at the end of the split.

The team has a pretty strong roster, but execution is Vitality's kryptonite.
In the first match of LEC Winter 2024, Team Vitality will play against GIANTX, where I see problems for the “bees”. It seems to me that the vigorous core of EXCEL will give Vitality a hard time. And so it happened. And later there were two more losses, this time against Fnatic and Team BDS.
Vitality were actually a pleasant surprise. After a 0-3 start, the “bees” managed to come back to 4-5, thus advancing to the next stage of the tournament.
In the first round of the LEC Winter 2024 playoffs, Vitality played against SK Gaming. Surprisingly, the French were very convincing and closed the series with a score of 2-0. However, things were not so rosy further, because Vitality played a derby against BDS, which ended with a super confident victory for the latter. The next match was the last for Vitality in LEC Winter 2024. They played it against MAD Lions KOI and lost with a score of 0-2.
Following the results of LEC Winter 2024, Vitality took the TOP-6. In the spring split, Vitality showed themselves much better and reached the TOP-4. In the summer of 2024, Vitality clearly failed, taking the TOP-9 and thus failing to catch on to Worlds 2024.
At LEC Winter 2025, Vitality failed to exceed their expectations, although they showed a very reasonable result. The team took the TOP-5, which can be called a success.
