BLAST Paris Major 2023 vil tilbyde deltagerne en præmiepulje på $1.250.000
/According to Milan Schweid, editor-in-chief of the HLTV portal, the prize fund of BLAST Paris Major 2023 will be $1,250,000. It is expected that in the future prize pool increases will become the norm for the major championships that Valve stands behind.
This is $250,000 more than the major prize pool since MLG Columbus 2016, with the exception of PGL Major Stockholm 2022, which offered $2,000,000 after the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a BLAST press release, the prize pool for BLAST Paris Major 2023 will be $1.25 million. I was told that Valve will cover all of this, so a $250k increase over previous majors could become the standard in the future.
A little earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron commented on the holding of the main CS:GO championship in Paris:
I want to announce that France will host two exceptional esports events in 2023 and 2024. Next May, BLAST Major will take place in Paris at the Accor Arena. This is the first ever CS:GO Major to be held in France.
In addition, in 2024 we will host the first ever TrackMania Games. We will bring everyone together: unite the Olympics and eSports. The Trackmania Games will bring champions from around the world to compete in Paris.
