The Global Esports Tour Rio de Janeiro 2024 has come to an end. After several days of professional Counter-Strike, the paiN team managed to become champions despite coming from the lower bracket.

Results of the grand final paiN vs Imperial Esports within the framework of Global Esports Tour Rio 2024:

  • 1. Imperial removed Vertigo
  • 2. paiN removed Mirage
  • 3. Imperial picked Inferno
  • 4. paiN picked Nuke
  • 5. Imperial removed Anubis
  • 6. paiN removed Overpass
  • 7. Ancient was left over

Despite winning the match, the beginning for paiN was not the best, as they lost the opponent's pick with a score of 13:6, winning only 3 rounds on the defensive side. And if not for the won pistol round in the second half, the score could have been even more devastating. On the second map of the confrontation, paiN had a decent attack side on Nuke, and 7 won rounds were enough to finish the second map with a victory for their team. On the deciding map, Ancient, Imperial Esports struggled on defense and transitioned to the attack with only 3 rounds to their name, which was not enough to make a comeback. paiN won the final map with a score of 13:8, becoming the champions and earning an impressive sum of $100,000.
