The third game day of ESL One Malaysia 2022 marks the end of the group stage and the transition to the playoff stage. The matches in group A have already ended. Let's look at their results.

Entity vs Team Aster

The first map of confrontation between Europe and China was marked by the dominance of the Entity team. Fishman and the team began to build up the advantage almost from the very beginning of the match. The European team was able to competently implement their draft and by the end of the match had an advantage in the total value of 23,000 gold. The map ended in 31 minutes with the victory of Entity with a score of 40:12. It is worth noting the performance of Tobi and Pure on Lycan and Bloodseeker. The players finished 11-2-19 and 11-1-10 respectively.

The second part of this match was much more competitive compared to the first map. Until the 30th minute, Team Aster was leading the game, but Entity managed to actively resist. Xxs, playing on Mars, was extremely useful on the map for his team. The excellent implementation of the ultimate ability of his hero helped to regularly start and win fights. In a protracted confrontation lasting 52 minutes, the Chinese team draws the score in the series. As a result, 40:25 in favor of Aster.

An extremely active game from both teams on the first map. But Puppey and his teammates systematically forced team fights and won them. It is worth noting the performance of all the players in the core positions, which showed excellent performance. 46 minutes was enough for Team Secret to beat Talon Esports with a score of 58:23.

23savage and the team decided to experiment and picked Primal Beast, who was recently added to the game in patch 7.32. Australian kpii had a clean game on a new character. His result at the end of the fight is 13-0-12. The first 6 minutes of the laning stage of the team went fairly smoothly, after which the representatives of Southeast Asia gradually began to tip the scales in their favor. Talon equalized the series in 34 minutes with a score of 49:12. What was not enough to get into the playoffs. The team took 5th place in Group A and 9-10th in the standings, earning $5,000.

In group A, everything ended predictably. Alliance, as expected, showed the weakest game, and Thunder Awaken and Talon Esports fought for the last slot in the lower bracket. There were no surprises among the favorites either. The best game was shown by Team Aster, PGL Arlington Major bronze medalists. Team Secret and Entity also performed well. As a result, Team Aster, Team Secret, Entity and Thunder Awaken go to the playoffs.
