
BLAST SLAM I TEAMS ANNOUNCEMENT!
BLAST, a leading tournament organizer in Counter-Strike, is entering the Dota 2 scene with its first tournament — BLAST SLAM I, scheduled for November 26 to December 1, 2024. This marks BLAST’s debut in Dota 2, and it promises to bring the same high standards of quality that CS fans are familiar with. The tournament will feature 10 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool, with the final stage taking place at the BLAST studio in Copenhagen.

- Gaimin Gladiators
- Xtream Gaming
- HEROIC
- Tundra Esports
- PARIVISION
Tournament Format
The tournament BLAST SLAM I will begin with the group stage from November 26 to 29, where ten teams will be divided into two round-robin groups. Each match in this stage will be played in a best-of-one (Bo1) format. Based on the results, teams will secure spots in the playoffs, with those who performed best earning more advantageous positions in the playoff bracket.
After the group stage, team standings will dictate playoff seeding:
- 1st place teams advance directly to the Semifinals, giving them a strong edge.
- 2nd place teams move to the Quarterfinals.
- 3rd place teams enter at Round 2.
- 4th and 5th place teams start at Round 1, with more games to play to reach the top.
The playoffs will take place from November 30 to December 1 in a single-elimination bracket. All matches, except for the Grand Final, will be played in a best-of-three (Bo3) format, while the Grand Final will be a best-of-five (Bo5), promising a fitting conclusion to this debut Dota 2 tournament from BLAST.
Ten teams will compete for a $1 million prize pool at BLAST SLAM I:
- 1st place - $400,000
- 2nd place - $200,000
- 3rd-4th places - $80,000
- 5th-6th places - $50,000
- 7th-8th places - $40,000
- 9th-10th places - $30,000
BLAST is stepping onto the Dota 2 stage with the BLAST SLAM I tournament, promising to bring its signature tournament quality. We can confidently say that intense games between the top teams are definitely in store.
